Western Astrologers are being called into a reality check with the public attention to the 13 sign zodiac and sidereal astrology.

Here’s my view of the situation after receiving and reading the opinions and statements of western astrologers:

First, the Tropical Zodiac has no basis on current scientific reality.  Aries energy has not been influencing the Spring Equinox for at least 2000 years.  The “Aries Point” is descriptive and not real.  As a Western Astrologer using the equinox point as a start for the zodiac year it would be in that person’s best interest to work with the reality of the Sun placement rather than tradition and non-fact.

Second, this is an opportunity for growth personally, professionally, financially and globally.  Isn’t it time as the Age of Aquarius begins to dawn that we enter into a New Consciousness astrologically?  Especially as Aquarius represents new Age practices and the consciousness of humanity?

Third, there is no reason to fear more work with uneven calculations in the chart.  We have wonderful software and programs that have a great foundation for us to work from and develop.  Let’s do it!!

Finally, for us to be stuck in a past consciousness and belief makes us blind and ignorant to the changes around us.  it is time to go with the flow of the information presented and work with the new era that is dawning.

Thanks to the astronomer who put forth the energy of the 13th sign and introduced the public to a scientific truth that astrologers in the West could use to bring forth the new consciousness of 2012 and beyond.

I have been using sidereal astrology for over 10 years and found it more accurate than the Tropical system.  Here are some clarifications for people based on my experience:

The Tropical Zodiac was valid over 2000 years ago, however seemed to get lost or buried in the Middle Ages.  the Sidereal Zodiac works with the true physical placement of the planets as they relate to the Earth and the constellations.  The Tropical system is merely a tradition and has no physical support.  As metaphysicians and truth seekers it seems to be our responsibility and duty to work with the truth rather than the traditions that hold us back from aligning with our true astrological natures.  Ancient civilizations knew of precession of the equinoxes and adjusted their astrology/astronomy accordingly.  This is the current practice of Indian astrologers.  In the West this update and moving along with the times has been ignored rather than worked with.  Now is the time to adjust and move forward.  this is a blessing for us all and the dawning of a new age!!

The 13th sign of Ophiuchus is a wonderful addition to the astrological system.  This 13th sign brings forth the modern area of spiritual and traditional healing together in the Serpent Bearer.  As more information comes to light and the times of the signs are embraced we will find this invaluable to future generations.

I ask anyone reading this post to explore, play and work with the Sidereal system as a way to align with the current physical energy system.  For those in resistance i challenge you to grow and work with the opportunity at hand.
