Astronomically there are 13 signs to the Zodiac and the signs are
not all the same amount of days or degrees long.  Virgo is the
longest sign lasting 44 days or degrees and Scorpio the shortest
only lasting 7 days or degrees.

The recognition of Ophiuchus as the thirteenth sign acknowledges
the current age of holistic healing and the Egyptian roots of
astrology, astronomy and medicine through the high priest
Imhotep also known as Aesclepius to the Greeks.

Below is a chart of the dates of all three Western Zodiac systems.
Most Western astrologers use the Tropical Zodiac which is based
on traditional placements from over 2000 years ago during the
time of Julius Caesar.  The Sidereal or Vedic Zodiac maintains the
comfortable 12 signs of 30 degrees and is accurate to the
astronomy as best as possible.  The Galactic Zodiac is based on
the physical astronomical placement of the sun through the 13
signs and could be considered the most accurate.
